Books I've read throughout March 2026
Throughout March I read a total of 3 books, on the face of it seems like in April I’ll only read 2 books and so on… But I finally got around to reading the fourth book in the dune series and two more Sherlock Holmes novels. So it might not be as much as I’ve been reading throughout the other months but I still really enjoyed each of the books I read this month. In terms of my yearly total I’ve now read 12 books throughout 2026.
The first book I read this month was God Emperor of Dune which is the fourth book in the series, I must admit this is probably the strangeness I read so far in the Dune universe. All I’ll say is Leto II is transforming into a sandworm, which is a continuation of the third novel. Overall I really enjoyed this book and looking forward to the next in the series.
The next book I read this month was The Hound of the Baskerville which is the third Sherlock Holmes book I’ve read this year. Out of the others I read including the next book I would probably say this has been my favourite out of the series so far. It was a nice change of pace having Watson look out for Henry Baskerville while Sherlock is “still in London” working on other cases.
The last book I read this month was The Valley of Fear which is the fourth Sherlock novel I’ve read this year. I really like both parts of this story with the first half trying to figure out the murder of Douglas. Then with the second half following the gang known as the scowrers and how parts of the story come together. I do feel though the epilogue wasn’t needed though but I guess it’s to build up the tension between Sherlock and his nemesis Moriarty.
Overall the books I read this month have been great. With the strangeness of God Emperor of Dune and the other two Sherlock Holmes books which was a nice change of pace. Hopefully in April I’m able to make more time for reading, but already totalling 12 books for the year I’m pretty happy with that.
Thanks, Nathan.
