Living Intentionally

Life with intention is a life well lived

Recently I’ve been reflecting on my current live style and how it aligns with what I want to spend my time on. During this period I’ve gotten rid of my TV, I know what will I do after a long day at work? But in all seriousness it no longer aligned with how I wanted to spend my free time. As I found any spare moment I had I wanted to binge watch programs which I had little interest in just to zone out.

Now I’m trying to protect my time and focus it on things I actually enjoy such as reading, playing guitar, going to my run club and so on. I found that removing low friction entertainment from my life hasn’t negatively impacted me, but rather allowed me to spend my time focusing on hobbies and other interests. Obliviously if you find enjoyment from low friction activities all the power to you.

So from now on I’m making the conscious decision of how I want to spend my free time, I hope you do too. Let’s not let a algorithm or ads determine our free time, but give thought around the things we do. As at the end of the day we want to live our life’s not be told how to live it.

Thanks, Nathan.
